The Latest AI Scam Is Worse Than You Think š¤Æā ļø
They donāt just steal your money anymore... they steal your identity.
Hey there,
Yesterday, my cousin was scrolling through social media when he came across something strangeāa commercial featuring me.
He immediately sent me a DM:
"Did you film this? When did you start promoting this brand?"
I clicked the link, and there I wasā¦ smiling, talking, selling something I had never even heard of.
My face was real. My voice was identical. But the words? Not mine.
At first, I thought it was just another deepfake used for ads. But then I started thinkingāwhat if someone used this technology for something far worse?
What if they cloned my voice not for a harmless commercialā¦ but to threaten my family?
Imagine this:
š Your parents get a call from āyou,ā panicked, begging for help.
š° They hear āyour voiceā asking for money or personal details.
šØ Without a second thought, they send itābecause they truly believe itās you.
AI scams are moving fast, and most people arenāt even aware of how real they sound.
How to Protect Your Loved Ones:
ā Talk to your family ā Make sure they know this tech exists and to always double-check before acting.
ā Set up a family code word ā Something only you and your close ones know to confirm itās really you.
ā Be mindful of what you post ā Even a short voice clip can be enough for scammers to clone you.
NB: This actually happened to one of our readers. They had no idea their voice could be stolen this easily. Make sure your family is prepared before scammers try to use this against them.
Stay safe,

P.S. If you ever get an unexpected āemergencyā call, hang up and call back. AI can copy voices, but it canāt fake your instincts.
